Haruyuki Shinya, President
Haruyuki Shinya joined Mitsui Trust and Banking Company, Limited (presently Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank). He was involved in a broad range of real estate-related duties concerning real estate development, land trust, acquisition, disposition/leasing brokerage and due diligence for collateral of non-recourse loans.
After studying overseas, Shinya joined the Tokyo Branch Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley . As an asset manager with MSREF (Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund), he undertook commercial real estate investment-related duties for assets in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore, and was also involved in asset management at the start-up of Morgan Stanley Properties Japan. Shinya founded Aoyama Realty Advisors, Inc. in 2001 and currently serves as President.
Shinya is a graduate of the Nagoya University School of Economics, and The Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA. He is a licensed real estate appraiser and real estate transaction specialist.
Takeshi Hattori, Vice President
Takeshi Hattori joined Mitsui Trust and Banking Company, Limited (presently Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank), and served in the real estate development and real estate sales divisions, at the Shimbashi branch, and in Business Development Division. He then joined the Japan Real Estate Institute, and while at the Tokyo branch he was involved in the appraisal and investigation of various types of real estate in Tokyo. Hattori also served as top specialist while with the securitization office.
In 2006 he joined Aoyama Realty Advisors, Inc. and currently serves as Vice President.
Hattori is a graduate of the law department at the Keio University Faculty of Law. He is a licensed real estate appraiser and real estate transaction specialist.
Hattori is currently on the examination board for the real estate appraisers' examination and is a board member of Tokyo Association of Real Estate Appraisers. He has also served as a land price appraiser or the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, as well as for the government of Minato Ward, Tokyo, and as a professor at the National Tax Agency's National Tax College.
Ushio Kobayashi, Director
After graduating from University of Tokyo in 1996, Ushio Kobayashi joined Nippon Life Insurance Company (NLI) where he had hands-on experience in the field of finance management as well as securities management.
He joined Aoyama Realty Advisors, Inc. in 2008 and was involved in real estate appraisal and real estate administration.
In 2014 he joined JFE Life Corporation and was involved in real estate appraisal and advisory duties.
From 2015 to 2018 he joined Japan Senior Living Partners, Inc. as a real estate appraiser of Management Committee and participated in decision making of asset acquisition and administration before IPO.
In 2018 he joined Aoyama Realty Advisors, Inc. as Director. He is currently involved in real estate appraisal, advisory duties and real estate administration.
He is a licensed real estate appraiser, real estate transaction specialist and chartered member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan.
